Madalan Lennep, PMP, is owner and lead consultant of Pharos. She began her work in elections consulting in 1996 with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office. Since 2003, she has provided consulting for the purchase, implementation and on-going support of two statewide election projects totaling over $50 million dollars; the Statewide Voting Machine System and the Statewide Election Management System (SEMS). In both of these projects, she provided consulting including the development of specifications, evaluation of proposals, contract negotiation, software analysis and customization, hardware implementation, quality assurance and testing, monitor and control of deliverables, risk management, training documentation and conducting training, voter outreach education, database coding and election support. In 2009, she became a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). This international certification is based on rigorous standards and ongoing research of project management methodologies to meet the real-world needs of clients. In addition to the Secretary of State’s Office, Madalan has provided consulting services, project management, and training to state agencies, over 25 counties, and a number of municipalities.
